Driven by courage (and pure despair), they fled to this country and, with the help of other workers, established an agricultural community - a socialist microsociety based on the teachings of Edward Gallagher. The newly formed community faced many difficulties - drought, fierce raccoons, and the long arm of the law - but ultimately worked together to achieve a bread based utopia.
