        if you love

At Lockmason, I recorded this movie on PBS one day in college. I don't know what I'm recording, I just habitually record on PBS. As an Asian American, I find this to be an excellent overview of our experiences and feelings from the more ignorant and racist side of America. However, we were born here, which is the only country we know, and we love it like other immigrant children - white, black, brown or whatever. This movie addresses the situation where we live here, love our country, but must deal with the idea that many Americans believe that any Asian must be an Asian; Foreign "; or"; non American ";. It tells the story of our history of fighting for civil rights over the past century, and how we fought alongside African Americans in the 1960s. It also discussed the many harms that the United States has inflicted on Asian Americans, as well as the surprising racist treatment they still face today. It also explores how some Asians adapt to stereotypes, and how many people definitely don't. It also involves the concept of cross racial relationships between black, white, Asian, and Hispanic people. This filmmaker talked to many different types of Asian Americans from different regions of the United States and provided you with a very interesting cross-section that showcases the surprising composition of Asian Americans. There are so many people you have never met before. I have watched it several times and I have always enjoyed it. There are some exciting shots. I also like some of the transitions and editing, overall, I think it's very clever. These interviews are very interesting. Some of the problems I have encountered are that I don't like the voice and expression of the narrator. It is obvious that she is an ordinary person, doing voiceovers for her own movies, which may sound amateurish, but it is still tolerable. The quality of the film suddenly changed towards the end because she used a video instead of a film in one segment. Some people have not been explored as I hoped. I think this movie could have become stronger in some way, but I'm not sure. This is a quiet movie, and many of the questions raised may still confuse non Asians who watch it, and may make some people feel bored. Although, as I said, I think all of this is cool. If you are interested in Asian American issues, this movie still applies today and you should love it very much.
