Two unsociable individuals - Marcy and thief Seth - encountered a store theft in their hometown in northern New York State. Marcy wanted a special Barbie doll, so they set off to Toronto to search for it. Marcy needed medication to relieve muscle spasms, and a pharmacist thought she was a drug addict and shot her in the leg. They were taken away by the lonely widower Walter, who treated them well.
